The End of Grinding Over DSP Dashboards? Reflections on the Rise of Agentic AI
Is the era of being glued to DSP dashboards coming to an end? Reflecting on the recent evolution of Agentic AI, I’ve been closely following the latest trends in DSPs and ad-tech. I can truly feel that we are entering a phase where the very definition of "ad operations" is fundamentally changing. Until recently, ad operations meant staring at management screens, fine-tuning bids by the penny, and grinding through manual A/B tests of various targeting combinations. However, looking at the rise of "Agentic AI" (autonomous AI) that everyone in the industry is talking about, I believe those manual tasks will soon disappear. As an ad-ops professional, I’ve put together my thoughts on how we should navigate this rapid evolution of AI. From "AI Automation" to "AI Autonomy" The AI features we’ve used until now, such as auto-bidding, were essentially "highly capable assistants" operating within rules set by humans. We decided the target audience and budget caps, and the AI simply stepped on the gas or the brakes accordingly. However, the Agentic AI becoming mainstream today is on a different level.
